Hippocrates is an Exchange Program for Residen, young t doctors and tutors accredited by the WONCA (European Society of Family Medicine) from different European countries centers.
Some UDACEBA centers, such as EAP Sardenya and EAP Vic have been accredited for residents of other countries who are interested in learning about health in our country. All residents can host this program, which lasts for fifteen days. The stay is characterized by the observation, sharing consultation with a tutor reference.
Some of the objectives of the program Hippokrates are:
- Promote the exchange of medical residents in family medicine.
- Collaboration between countries and scientific societies, being interesting for the resident experience in international cooperation programs.
- To know the reality of the speciality of Family Medicine at the international level.
- Improve the skills and abilities and open new doors to future employment.
It offers a wide range of rural centers in Europe to make this stay.
On the other hand, the Exchange Program Mini-Hippokrates, gives the opportunity to attend a congress or conference in another country with a rotation of a week or 5 working days in a European health center where the conference takes place.This stay is intended to offer residents and young physicians family (who have obtained the speciality in the last 5 years), a basic knowledge of the health system, both at the level of care, and organizational, teamwork, community activities, management resources, etc. This is to encourage interaction between young European family doctors and to know the different health systems in Europe.
