Teaching Unit ACEBA was born in 2005 as the Teaching Unit of the self-managed Primary Care Teams of Catalonia, to respond to the educational initiatives and interests of its members and to offer quality specialized training to future professionals. The initiative was promoted by the Associació Catalana d’Entitats de Base Associativa (ACEBA), which is currently made up of 11 self-managed health entities (1st Self-managed Primary Care Teams and 1 pediatrician cooperative) that offer public health care to 250,000 people Catalonia.
Currently, ACEBA Teaching Unit (UDACEBA) is part of both self-managed centers and centers with other management modalities, the common link being the interest and motivation in the training of specialists in Family and Community Medicine and Family and Community Nursing.
